The van security company are based in Luton and provide mechanical Van security upgrades along with Auto and domestic locksmith work to luton and the surrounding area, established for over 10 years and have an excellent reputation.

What do we do?

The Van security company is in essence a company that has had enough of our lively hoods being under threat from unscrupulous thieves, we achieve this by fitting aftermarket locks and security devices to enhance the security and deter the criminals from wanting to try and break in in the first place, prevention is better than cure after all.

We supply and install the best quality kits on the market at the present produced mainly by L4V. We have over 10 years of experience in the field of security and take our work very seriously, after all we drive vans to and our lively hoods are also on the line.

Products and services– We supply and fit a range of mechanical devices to increase the security of our vans, these include:

Deadlocks– Deadlocks consist of a key operating an additional bolt to van doors to keep them locked even if the locking system is deactivated. Pictured to the left is a typical deadlock installation to the nearside cab door.Lock sets are supplied with 3 keys and a key card so it is possible to order more keys in the future if needed, Locks can also be built to existing keys meaning if you wanted to add extra locks to the van then they can all be used with the same keys. From £130 per door.

Hook Locks– Similar to deadlocks in their operation but instead of a bolt a hook is thrown.

The benefit of this type of lock is that they provide a more effective method of preventing “door peeling” usually fitted at the top of the doors (where possible) they are considered the standard van security on most tradesman`s vans. Supplied with 3 keys with the option to add extra keys and locks the same as the deadlocks. From £150 per door.

Slam Locks– Slam locks offer a higher level of security than the standard door mechanism, they are fitted around mid height of the door and once the door is “slammed” the door becomes locked, once shut the door will need to be opened using the key only, not by pulling the handle, this type of lock are used mainly by delivery drivers that go in and out of their vans 100+ times a day. Locks are supplied and fitted for £150 per door and can be keyed to match other locks and keys.

Rep Lock– Rep locks are upgraded door locks to the modern Ford Vans, they replace the original door locks that are vulnerable to attacks and damage, these locks are a must nowadays if only to guarantee you can enter the van if your remote key fails you, Suppied and fitted from £225, These locks can be ordered to match the existing locks and keys for your van.

Slam Handles- very much like the slam lock in it operation the only difference is the location is in the handle itself, if you handle is already damaged then this could be a better solution for you, they are more expensive than the normal slam lock kit as the handle also needs to be purchased and fitted, contact us for an accurate quote.

Statement locks- The statement lock is designed to give a “presence” to let the criminals know from 50 yards away that this van is going to be hard to break into, and they do just that, they offer good all round security, not as liked by tradesman as some models lock when shut and also increase the wind resistance of the van and can spoil the paintwork. Locks are supplied and fitted from £175 for 1 door.

Anti Peel brackets- Anti peel brackets are fitted internally inside the van and designed to protect the top corners of the van from being “peeled open” they are relatively easy to fit and a low cost alternative, they are not visible from outside the van though so they wont deter the criminals from trying unfortunately. Brackets are supplied and fitted from £175 for 2 doors.
